線杯的靈感來自圖學裡的基本線條。井然有序的線條，是構成圖的元素之一，更是設計圖學中最精確的溝通語言。實線、虛線、鏈線，承載著相異的訊息，分別在圖紙上開展、延伸，這低頭看見的每一筆每一劃，構成了一位設計師的日常。
本設計利用水杯這樣的日常小物，牽引出每個人生命經驗裡對於「日常」的熟悉感。而杯底與杯墊的樸實線條，表達了設計師在設計生涯中踏實且毫不含糊的生活態度。站在生活與設計的交點，舉杯飲盡；在這喝著白開水的日常，一次次，遇見最初始，也是最原粹的自己。
The inspiration came from the three basic line types used in Engineering Drawing: continuous line, short dash line and chain line. In Graphics, a line is not only a simple graphics primitive but the most accurate method to communicate. Each of the three types of line carries a specific meaning of its own, and I use them to depict my life as a designer.
As we use water glass to drink water every day, it brings about the feelings about daily life in our life experience. The simple and unadorned lines at the bottom of this Graphics Line Glass remind of a designer’s attitude of being steadfast and meticulous to his life and his career. Just like a motto, the Graphics Line Glass reminds me of my original aspiration every time I drink from it.
